Kathryn began her legal career dealing with complex human rights and asylum cases at one of the UK’s leading legal aid providers before moving onto a corporate firm. Kathryn, throughout her career has dealt with complex human rights cases and has successfully challenged the Home Office in numerous protection and judicial review claims. Kathryn has prepared and worked on high profile cases which saw a change in law, R (KTT) v Secretary of State for the Home Department [2021] EWHC 2722 which allowed for the claimant and potentially thousands of other victims of modern slavery to regularise their status in the UK on a temporary basis, pending final resolution of their protection claims based on fear of being re-trafficked.
